Find Your Place with Us

As a member of 4th Street Church of Christ, you will have several ministry opportunities available to you to give back to the community. 4th Street has a ministry fit for you, whatever your age and stage of life. Read on to find out more!

One Thursday a month our Golden Agers group gets together for an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and devotional time. They change the place they go every month, and are always looking for new members. If you have questions please let us know.

At 4th Street Church of Christ, we offer congregants of all ages a chance to give back by joining our wide range of ministries. One of these is our Backpack Ministry. Throughout the year we collect food to send home with children from our local schools who may not have food to eat at home. If you are interested in this ministry let us know.

Join our Ladies Bible Study! This is a great group of ladies who gets together every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm to study God's word. Let us know if you are interested and would like more information.

Here at 4th Street we also do our annual Making a Godly Impact ministry. This ministry is a part of the Healing Hands International Organizations. Every year we give every member wanting to participate a shoebox and list of things that they need to pack it with. All of the collected shoeboxes will be sent to underprivileged children as Christmas presents.

Another community ministry we support is a coat give away. As a congregation we collect new or nicely used coats to give away to families who may be struggling with the cold throughout the winter. If you would like to help with this ministry please let us know.

Every year around Christmas time we host a cookies with Santa event. You can bring your child to see Santa, and get their picture taken. Your Child's picture will be sent to you via email. There will also be food and fellowship all event long.

The assistance program at 4th Street is designed to aid individuals who may be facing sudden adverse circumstances and need some help. Throughout the years 4th Street has provided assistance to those who need food, a temporary place to stay, clothing, and other emergency needs. We keep a fully stocked emergency pantry and clothing area. You can call the church office at (731) 645-6101. Please leave a message and the call will be returned as soon as possible if no one answers.

For the first time in the fall of 2017 we hosted a puppets in the park event. This event is open to the public and is held in the Selmer City Park. It is a day of fun and relaxation for you and your kids.It is free and lunch is provided. We hope to see you there next year!

In an effort to better organize our outreach we have created visitation groups. This is a ministry composed of four different teams that reach out to each other and to those in our community that are struggling. If you or someone you know of is struggling just know that they don't have to go through it alone. Please let us know if we can assist you in anything you're dealing with.

Another one of our ministries is our College & Young Professionals group. They have their own Sunday and Wednesday Bible classes. This group goes on overnight outings and has several fellowship opportunities throughout the year. The CYP group is fed every first Wednesday night of each month during the school year. if you have questions or are interested in joining please let us know.

Trunk or Treat

Every October we host our annual Trunk or Treat Halloween bash! There will be fun, games, fellowship, and most importantly candy! We hope to see you and your family there!

Here at 4th Street we also have a men's ministry. Whether you're a  20 year old male or an 80 year old male we want you to come and be a part of our men's ministry. Throughout the year we do several things such as fishing trips, shooting days, cajun dinners, and many more activities. We hope that you will come be a part of our men's ministry!

Sack the Pulpit is our annual thanksgiving week ministry. For several weeks leading up to thanksgiving we will collect monetary donations and we will give our members bags to fill with a list food items for a thanksgiving day meal. These bags will then be distributed to families within our community who need help with providing for a meal.

Would you like to join one of our ministries? Give us a call today to join the many members who are already calling 4th Street Church of Christ home.
